Import regulations
As an EU country, Spain requires post-Brexit UK vehicles to comply with EU type approval or an ITV inspection. Import duty is 10% for vehicles from non-EU countries, plus 21% IVA (VAT). Vehicles must pass the ITV (Inspección Técnica de Vehículos) within 60 days, and re-registration on Spanish plates is mandatory.
